Training Event CEU Information
General Information
The Pennsylvania Board of Social Work Examiners requires licensed social workers to complete thirty hours of continuing education during each two-year licensing cycle. The Quality Leaders Network, in cooperation with the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Work, offers 5.5 continuing education units (CEU’s) for Pennsylvania Social Work License renewal for individuals who attend the entire event. The University of Pennsylvania School of Social Work is an approved provider of continuing education in social work by the Council on Social Work Education.
Pennsylvania Social Work Practitioners
One continuing education credit will be issues for each hour of instruction. Participants who register for CEU’s will receive a Certificate of Attendance indicating the seminar title, date, and number of CEU’s earned.
All Other Social Work Practitioners and other Allied Professionals
Individuals who practice social work in other states, or those who practice in a closely aligned profession (i.e. certified addictions counselors, health care administration, social service administration, etc.) may receive a Certificate of Completion upon attending the entire educational event. Participants may petition their own state’s professional regulating bodies for CEU’s on an individual basis. Please contact your home state’s licensing board for more information.
